Winter Wonderland

This is an annual event that allows incarcerated women a unique opportunity to connect with their children and family members during the Christmas Holiday season. As the scripture reminds us, “It is better to give than to receive, “we encourage women to purchase gifts for others as a token of love, forgiveness, or appreciation. Recognizing the substantial impact to family units when a loved one is incarcerated, this event was initiated to bridge gaps and rebuild relationships. Because our mission is to teach the love of Christ and to prepare them for a new beginning we have made special efforts to set up Winter Wonderland as a real shopping experience to help them prepare for transition post release. The success of this annual event has drawn support from other organizations and the community.

Journey to Success

This is a pre-release and post-release program designed to help women successfully transition from prison back into society. They are given professional training from business professionals, educators, and other industry professionals to help provide them with key skills and tools that will enable them to implement a personal plan of goals and supporting actions that will positively impact their future. Education and job readiness training is emphasized to discourage recidivism post release. It also provides hope for those with longer sentences.

Journey to Success Graduation Ceremonies

This ceremony celebrates the accomplishments a client has made by completing the Journey to Success program.

TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS

This class provides the women with definitions of unhealthy relationships, whether with husbands, significant others, siblings, parents, other relatives, children, co-workers and/or bosses. They are given the tools to identify how these connections can influence them and how this effects their emotions and thoughts and actions.

FORGIVENESS CLASS

This class allows the women to engage in personal transformation; clear their minds and hearts to create space to live with more love and respect for themselves and for others. Preparing them for reconciliation with their families and empowering them to reenter society with a new perspective and a determination to be a productive citizen.

Domestic Violence Awareness classes are also available.
